Bartimaeus was a BLIND BEGGAR sitting by the roadside as Jesus and his disciples traveled from Jericho.
Bartimaeus HEARS that Jesus is passing by; he SHOUTS, "Jesus, Son of David, have MERCY ON ME!".
The crowd rebukes Bartimaeus and tells him to be quiet, but he SHOUTS even louder.
Jesus STOPS and tells them to call Bartimaeus over.
Bartimaeus THROWS OFF his cloak (beggar's robe) and GOES to Jesus, who heals him and says, "Your FAITH has made you well."
